Leadership Philosophy

ccampbell_leadership_philosophyIf your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” John Quincy Adams.  This sentiment serves as the cornerstone of my leadership philosophy.  Being a successful digital marketing leader means more than building, mentoring and energizing top-performing teams…it means serving as a champion of excellence so that all team members buy into organizational initiatives.

Inspiring buy-in requires understanding the value of taking the time to mentor and teach.  Recently an employee transitioned from an underperforming team member on to an all-star employee under my leadership. The employee valued the time I took to explain why I required certain changes in programs leading to her understanding of the importance of her role in our digital footprint and its success.  This understanding prompted her to take ownership of every task with motivation and pride in her work. Today, she has significantly increased her digital skills with a marked difference in experience, responsibility and reputation.

I strongly believe in the difference between management and leadership. That belief is not only practiced every day of my career, but I coach it as well.

I aim to build leaders, not just teams.
